If you have never had fondue, you are missing out. It is one of the most fun and delicious ways to eat a meal, and The Melting Pot is one of the best fondue restaurants. They have locations throughout the US and even in Canada. Seriously, if you haven't been, go check it out!

I would go to Melting Pot all the time if I could afford it. Unfortunately, fondue is never cheap and –  alas – I can only enjoy it when my wallet permits. When I found a deal for money off a fondue meal there, I quickly made a reservation for a romantic evening with my boyfriend, who had never been!

With our deal, we got two entrees and salads and had to purchase the cheese course and dessert course ourselves. A trip to the Melting Pot is not complete without these two courses, so we ordered the whole shebang.

The waitress came to start us off with the melted cheddar cheese, which is always prepared in front of you, and provided the dipping choices: veggies, apples, and bread. I don't think there is anything you could dip in cheese that would taste bad. After getting our fill of cheese, we enjoyed two caesar salads before our next course. For the entree, you choose the kind of meat and/or seafood you want, as well as the cooking method. One of best part of the this course is the different dipping sauces. My all time favorite is the teriyaki. I always have to ask for extra, it's that good.

Finally dessert! We got the Flaming Turtle, made with milk chocolate, caramel, candied pecans, and flambeed at the table. Not only is it mesmerizing, it's delicious! And of course, we got a myriad of dipper choices: strawberries, bananas, pineapple, cheesecake, brownies, blondes, poundcake, and marshmallows. Yum!
