Stella’s Out in… CHICAGO

I lived in Chicago for three years and still feel like there’s so much I didn’t have a chance to explore. The city is huge, which can be overwhelming. For foodies it is heaven, with boutique brunch spots, authentic Mexican cuisine, and new places popping up all the time. Sometimes it seemed hard to keep up with the ever evolving restaurant scene. If you are wondering about things to do, check out my posts for various activities throughout the city. I also have included restaurant reviews and a few reviews for hotels (for when I needed a staycation). I hope they help you plan an exciting trip to the Windy City!

How to Score Tickets to Advance Movie Screenings

Going to the movies has always been a favorite pastime of mine. So naturally, I am a huge fan of empanadas, those little pockets of joy that are stuffed with meat or veggies and baked to golden perfection. In Wicker Park, 5411 Empanadas is churning out a variety of empanadas in all different shapes […] Read more…

Airport Food: Tortas Frontera by Rick Bayless

I don’t think I’ve ever met a person who enjoys spending time at the airport. Between the early arrival times, security hassles, airline delays and annoying procedures, there isn’t really any reason to look forward to a trip to the airport (aside from the final destination, of course). In an effort to change this universal […] Read more…

Celebrate National Burger Month with Burger Binge Week

In addition to May being my birthday month (yayy!), it also happens to be National Burger Month! There is nothing quite like sinking your teeth into a juicy burger with all the fixin’s, right? In fact, one of the best descriptions I have heard of how amazing a good burger can truly be, is from Marshall, […] Read more…
